Forty kilometers of footpath, located mainly on the commune of Gigondas, cross the Dentelles de Montmirail Massif. There are 5 different circuits available which propose walks from 1 hour to 6 and a half hours in the form of a loop. The village of Gigondas being the departure and arrival point.
A map of these circuits, in IGN form (Ordinance Survey), is proposed at the Tourist Office or if it is closed at the local grocer's shop.

  The Dentelles is equipped with more than 600 rock climbing slopes, a paradise for all climbers. There are slopes for all ages and all levels of expertise.
A « topoguide » (rock climbing guide) is available at the village hostel, the grocer shop as well as at the Tourist Office.
  A qualified mountain guide can accompany you and/or give you and your children lessons. He also proposes rock climbing courses.

  There are three circuits to discover from the village of Gigondas. They are classed as being « Difficult » and with 3 different distances.

Circuit N°3 - The Sarrazin Tower (13km)
Circuit N°4 - The Chalky slopes (18km)
Circuit N° 5 - The Wine Route (21km)

   Plans of the different circuits are available at the Tourist Office, but we also advise you to take a IGN (OS) map of the site (map reference 3040ET). This map is on sale at the Grocer Shop or at the Tourist Office.

  The recently renovated tennis court is at your disposal in the Quartier du Moulin. Please make court reservations at the Tourist Office.

  A basket ball court is also available at all times at just a few steps from the local hostel.

In the event of particular climatic conditions (drought, wind etc…) the Préfecture du Vaucluse (Police Headquarters) may decide to ban all access to the Massif de Dentelles. Please check with the local Tourist Office before your departure to this site. Please note that public officers are authorized to take legal action in the case of abuse.
